Sour Mash was composed by George Lewis and Marina Rosenfeld as a collaboration that began in 2008 and extended into 2009. As the project advanced, it took form on vinyl disks, ultimately to be released also on this CD. As George Lewis described it, the project developed as two independent compositions — one by George Lewis, the other by Marina Rosenfeld — on two vinyl records that can be re-combined and/or used and manipulated as creative material by DJs.
The compositions on this CD are: 'End Self Or:', 'Send Elf Or:','Ego Grew Lies:', 'We Gig or Else:'; 'Wordless Feline:', and 'Linseed Flowers:'. The place of the recording was Harvestworks, the recording engineer was Paul Geluso.
