Composer and pianist Daniel Koppelman is currently he is working with live processsing of acoustic piano and interactive improvisation utilizing the Yamaha Disklavier. He has performed with Christopher Dobrian, Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, SONAR, and Duo Runedako (with Ruth Neville) at SEAMUS, Louisiana State University Festival of Contemporary Music, Stefan Wolpe International Festival and Symposium (Toronto), National Public Radio, and Gassmann Electronic Music Series (University of California at Irvine) as well as in Baltimore, San Diego, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Saginaw, Detroit, Prague, and Greenville. He has presented papers at conferences by South Carolina Music Teachers Association, College Music Society, Association for Technology in Music Instruction, and Music Teachers Association of California. He was awarded first prize in the Grossmont Duo Piano Competition, National Association of Composers USA Competition, and Indiana University Concerto Competition. Koppelman is currently on the faculty of Furman University, Greenville, South Carolina. |
