Cort Lippe

Computer music pioneer and composer Cort Lippe focuses on combining acoustic instruments and computers in his works.

His music has been performed at Sonic Circuits, International Computer Music Conference (Hong Kong), Festival El Callejon del Ruido (Guanajuato, Mexico), June in Buffalo, and SEAMUS. He has worked at the Institute of Sonology in Utrecht, CEMAMu in Paris, and IRCAM, and his awards include Prix Ars Electronica (Austria), Kennedy Center Friedheim Awards, ISCM Competition, Bourges, Luigi Russolo Competition, and Music Today Contemporary Music Competition (Japan).

Lippe currently teaches at the University at Buffalo.
