The work of Danish composer and sound artist Martin Stig Andersen has been performed in numerous international festivals including The San Francisco Tape Music Festival, Sonorities, ICMC, SAN EXPO, Santa Fe Electro Acoustic Music Festival, NWEAMO, and The International Gaudeamus Music Week.

Martin Stig Andersen has obtained distinctions in the ElektraMusic Award - listener’s prize (France), Prix Ton Bruynèl (the Netherlands), the "Luigi Russolo" Competition (Italy), Bourges, and the Danish Arts FoundationZs Competition. In 2005 he received a 3-year working scholarship from the Danish Arts Foundation. Martin Stig Andersen graduated from The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark in 2003.

He is currently a PhD student in electroacoustic composition at City University, London, studying with Denis Smalley. His research is funded by the Danish Research Agency, the Royal Danish Academy of Music, and the Danish Ministry of Culture.
