Joyce Solomon Moorman

Joyce Solomon Moorman is a composer of instrumental and vocal music.

Moorman's music has been commissioned by Plymouth Chorus and Orchestra of Minneapolis and Cygnus Chamber Ensemble and performed by Lilan Parrot, Triad Chorale, Wilson Moorman, LonGar Ebony Ensemble, Woodhill Chamber Ensemble, Brooklyn Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble, and Moravian Philharmonic. Her music is discussed in several monographs, including Music by Black Women Composers, and Black Women Composers: A Century of Piano Music. She was a recipient of the Vienna Modern Masters Millennium Commission Competition.

Joyce Moorman lives and works in New York. She is currently Assistant Professor of Music at Borough of Manhattan Community College.
