As co-organizer, conductor, and pianist for the Tone Roads Chamber Ensemble, he played a role in introducing the music of Charles Ives, John Cage, Morton Feldman, Charles Ruggles, Edgard Varese, and others to a wider audience. He taught at Brooklyn Polytechnic, New School (New York City), University of California at Santa Cruz, York University (Toronto), and California Institute of the Arts. |
