David Wright

"My work spans a broad spectrum of styles but is always thematic with strong melodic structure, combining romanticism, sequences, atmospherics and varied rhythmic elements. My music has been characterised as emotive and expressive with eastern and jazz tinged elements."

David Wright is a composer and recording artist of electronic music. Wright uses electronic sounds from a vast array of synths, solo piano and orchestration which is sometimes supplemented by guitars, violin and vocal textures from guest musicians. He has produced seventeen solo albums of original and varied music, another 6 with his band "Code Indigo" plus a recent excursion under the pseudonym Callisto. In 1989 Wright founded the AD Music record label, which has remained quietly successful to this day, producing commercially viable albums from its more established acts alongside releases by various other artists. Wright has performed numerous concerts in the UK and Europe, both as a solo performer and with "Code Indigo," including The London Planetarium (with Jonn Serrie), and Duisburg (with Klaus Schulze) and his music has featured regularly on New Age Playlists.
