About us
CDeMUSIC is the materials distribution program of Electronic Music Foundation. The scope of CDeMUSIC, however, extends far beyond electronic music to include all genres and styles of non-commercial new music.
We offer you easy, direct-mail access to one of the most comprehensive collections of exceptional compact discs that you're likely to find anywhere. The CDs we list come from around the world. You can order a single package of CDs, for example, produced by organizations and individuals in Japan, Australia, France, California, or anywhere else ... and we can ship it to you wherever you live. You'll find CDs in our database that you may not find elsewhere, perhaps even CDs that you didn't know existed. We also list books and other media related to electronic music; GRM Tools, sound-processing software from the Groupe de Recherches Musicales in Paris, France; Moog Music products, including theremins, Moogerfoogers and other items; Leonardo CDs, books, and journal issues; and other special items.
CDeMUSIC is a primary outlet for EMF Media, EMF's publishing program. Our partners include Artifact Records, publishers of mostly electronic avant garde CDs; Vienna Modern Masters, publishers of orchestral and chamber music; Leonardo/ISAST, publishers of Leonardo and Leonardo Music Journal; GRM, developers of sound-processing software; and Moog Music, manufacturers of theremins, performance modules, and synthesizers.
