David Behrman is a composer and performer of electronic music and an installation artist. A pioneer in live electronic performance, he designs and builds his own instruments, interactive systems, and software. Behrman has toured worldwide with Sonic Arts Union, and with John Cage and David Tudor as a musician with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company. He has performed at Steim (Amsterdam), Metronom (Barcelona), Apollohuis (Eindhoven), Logos (Ghent), Interpretations (New York) ... His often collaborative installations have been exhibited at the Whitney Museum (New York), Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago), New York Hall of Science, Ars Electronica (Linz, Austria), La Villette (Paris) ... He has received awards from the Japan-United States Friendship Commission, D.A.A.D. (Berlin), Foundation for Contemporary Performance Arts in New York ...
