![]() Daniel Biro "My current work explores the possibilities of 'lifeform composition' ... allowing complexity to develop from simplicity." Daniel Biro is a composer of electronic, instrumental, and multimedia works. His music draws upon diverse roots in jazz, rock, classical, and electronic music. Biro has scored numerous short films including a poetry video for Pennhaligon and an award-winning film by French director Olivier Sarrazin. As an improvisor, Biro specializes in exploring the sonic depths of the Fender Rhodes electric piano, with which he performs regularly. His three CDs received critical acclaim both in the UK and abroad. His works have been performed at Institute of Contemporary Art, Union Chapel (London), Auditorio Cavour (Rome), Nice (MANCA Festival and La Station), Munich (Neues Teater), Paris (CAMAC Art Centre) ... Some of his collaborative projects have been funded by the European Union 'Kaleidoscope' programme and London's Westminster Council. He is co-founder of LUST, an organisation promoting collaborative multi-arts performance events, with choreographer Jane Turner and poet K.M. Pennhaligon.
