Tim Brady

Tim Brady is a guitarist and composer whose music spans a remarkable diversity of media.

His compositions include chamber, orchestral and electroacoustic music, works for dance and music theatre, free improvisation and contemporary jazz. He regularly commissions new works from other composers to create a new voice for the electric guitar.

He has performed at the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra's New Music Festival, Bang on a Can Festival, Bourges Electronic Music Festival, Festival International de Jazz de Montreal ... The ensemble Bradyworks has performed for both the CBC and Radio-Canada, and was featured at the 1990 Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville. Collaborators have included Gil Evans, John Surman, Kenny Wheeler and John Abercrombie. Brady has been artist-in-residence at the GRM studios of Radio-France in Paris, and his music has been commissioned from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Relache, Nouveau Quatuor de Saxophone du Quebec ...

Brady regularly tours North America and Europe as a performer.
