Peter Castine
Peter Castine is a composer of electroacoustic, instrumental, and theater music, as well as pianist and conductor.
His music has been performed throughout Europe and in the U.S.A. He has received commissions from the VDMK, the Hochschule der Künste Berlin ... and scholarships and grants from the city of Darmstadt, the Hochschule der Künste Berlin, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Amerika Haus Berlin, British Centre Berlin, Künstlerhaus Bethanien ... His articles and reviews have appeared in Computer Music Journal, Array, Decime Nachrichten, and in numerous conference proceedings. He co-founded and directed the Berlin Arts Company, he has designed music software, and he was Conference Chair for ICMC (International Computer Music Conference) 2000.
Castine lives in Berlin and teaches at the Technical University Berlin.
