Eric Chasalow
Eric Chasalow is a composer of electronic and instrumental music. Currently he is co-producing several projects with Barbara Cassidy based on broadcast-quality videotaped interviews with pioneers of electroacoustic music.
His music has been performed in Hong Kong, Rome, Stockholm, San Francisco ... He has received awards and commissions from the Fromm Foundation, John Simon Guggenheim Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters, with particular recognition for his works that combine live soloists with electronic sounds.
Chasalow is Associate Professor, Chair of the Music Department, and director of BEAMS (Brandeis Electro-Acoustic Music Studio) at Brandeis University.
