![]() Perry Cook "My delight in my work comes from working at the interface between music creation and performance, sound and music perception ... " Cook is a pioneer in the study of physical modeling and sound perception. Among his creations is the software application 'Spasm', which uses the human vocal tract as a model for electronically produced sound. He also developed 'The RBow Project', an electronically instrumented violin bow, and implementations of physical models of acoustical instruments for MSP, the audio component of the interactive application Max. Cook is editor of Music, Cognition, and Computerized Sound (MIT Press), and his essays have been widely published. Perry Cook teaches at Princeton University. Available CDs |
