Cem Duruöz is a guitarist who specializes in early and recent music.
His concert appearances include recitals at the Paros Music Festival in Greece, the SESC / Pro-Música Guitar Festival in Brazil, the Eski—ehir Festival in Turkey, the South Bay Guitar Society in California, and ICPNA Guitar Festival in Peru, as well as concerto performances with the Turkish Presidential Symphony Orchestra in Ankara. His enthusiasm for contemporary music has led to a second solo CD called 'Contemporary Music for Guitar', which includes new works written for him by a young generation of composers Tiffany Sevilla, Jody Rockmaker, David Hahn, Nicky Hind and Bujor Hoinic as well as masterpieces of the guitar repertoire by Walton and Davidovsky.
Cem Duruöz currently lives in New York. He performs and travels widely.
