Charles Engstrom
Composes music for the computer with the particular bent of revealing it's native voice-- the utterance of number. Among his lines of inquiry have been the treatment of venue as an instrument, understanding the process of abstraction as a form, and novel systems of pitches.
A film composer by trade, Engstrom has made music for numerous independent and studio films including "Coastlines," "Intimacies," "Ruby in Paradise" and "Ulee's Gold". He lives on the Gulf Coast... currently in New Orleans.
