Luc Ferrari, electronic music pioneer, composer of instrumental and vocal music, developed a new genre of music that he named 'anecdotal music'. It was a musical photo realism in which he captured sounds as they are naturally heard and used them in narrative forms. He was a founding member of the Groupe de Recherches Musicale in 1958, and served as its director. His music is performed worldwide ... His honors include the Prix Italia, Grand Prix National of the French Ministry of Culture, International Record Critics Award ... He has taught in Cologne, Stockholm, and elsewhere. In 1982, he founded La Muse en Circuit, a studio located in Paris. In his last years, he lived in Paris and travelled widely as performer and composer.
