Thomas Gerwin

Thomas Gerwin is a composer and producer whose work includes film, theater, radio, and sound and video installations. He has particular interest in environmental soundscape compositions.
He has been director of the music archives and audio library at the Center for Art and Media Technology (ZKM) in Karlsruhe, Germany, where his Acoustic World Atlas is on permanent exhibition. His work has been seen and heard throughout the world. His Wattenmeer-Suite was commissioned by the National Nature Park, Waddensea, Germany, and among his many awards are the German State Radio SWR's Karl Sczuka Support Award, American Composers Forum's Election Award ...
Gerwin lives and works in Berlin. He is currently director of his own studio and Vice-President of Forum für Klanglandschaft.
