![]() Richard Karpen Richard Karpen is a composer of computer music and symphonic and chamber works. He is author of a textbook on Csound and Computer Music. His articles have been widely published in periodicals including Computer Music Journal. His awards include Fulbright, National Endownment of the Arts, ASCAP Foundation, Bourges, Luigi Russolo Contest, Stanford University's Prix de Paris ... Richard Karpen teaches at the University of Washington, where he directs the Center for Advanced Research Technology in the Arts and Humanities, and the School of Music Computer Center.
