"My experience with different musical traditions - classical and popular, composed and improvised, acoustic and electronic - has led me to explore their intersections in search of new possibilities for performing and creating music. "

Composer and pianist, Daniel Koppelman is currently he is working with live processsing of acoustic piano and interactive improvisation utilizing the Yamaha Disklavier.

He has performed with Christopher Dobrian, Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, SONAR, Duo Runedako (with Ruth Neville) ... at SEAMUS, Louisiana State University Festival of Contemporary Music, Stefan Wolpe International Festival and Symposium (Toronto), National Public Radio, Gassmann Electronic Music Series (University of California at Irvine) ... in Baltimore, San Diego, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Saginaw, Detroit, Prague, Greenville ... He has presented papers at conferences by South Carolina Music Teachers Association, College Music Society, Association for Technology in Music Instruction, Music Teachers Association of California ... He was awarded first prize in the Grossmont Duo Piano Competition, National Association of Composers USA Competition, Indiana University Concerto Competition ...

Koppelman is currently on the faculty of Furman University, Greenville, South Carolina.
