![]() Elizabeth McNutt Elizabeth McNutt is a flute virtuoso and computer music experimentalist. Passionately devoted to contemporary music, she has premiered countless works and inspired many composers to compose for the flute. As a recitalist, she has performed in Saint Louis, Birmingham, Chicago, San Diego, La Crosse, Buffalo, Providence, in Europe ... Working with interactive computer technology, her performances include the Los Angeles Philharmonic Green Umbrella Series, Berkeley Symphony, National Flute Association Convention, June in Buffalo Festivals, International Computer Music Conferences, and SEAMUS National Conferences. Her festival performances include the Darmstadt Summer Courses, Scotia Festival, Norfolk Contemporary Music Seminar, Arcosanti Composers' Conference ... She has been a guest lecturer at universities including SUNY-Buffalo, San Diego State University, Viterbo College, Mississippi State University, and Minnesota State University. Her collaborators include Pierre Boulez, Brian Ferneyhough, Cort Lippe, Philippe Manoury, Roger Reynolds, Harvey Sollberger, Joji Yuasa, Joan Tower ... Her awards include first prize in the Crane Festival of New Music Solo Performer Competition.
