Building and construction are simultaneously improvisational and precompositional steps in the process." Hans-Karsten Raecke is an inventor of instruments, composer, and performer. His primary musical focus is free improvisation and the construction of musical instruments for his performances. He has performed throughout Europe and the US. He has received grants to work in Freiburg, IRCAM (Paris), and Warsaw. His awards include the Kranichsteiner Music Prize and he is founder of the Sound Workshop (Mannheim, Germany). Hans-Karsten Raecke lives in Germany, builds instruments, performs extensively, and organizes the Sound Workshop Festivals in Mannheim, Germany. Available CDs |
