She uses the timbral range of the cello to great advantage. The compositions include 'Spins and Spells', 'Pres', and 'Petals'. The performances by Anssi Karttunen are breathtaking. 	Musical Environments: Kaija Saariaho Dream-like, imaginative, evocative music by Kaija Saariaho, beautifully performed and realized by Anu Komsi (soprano) and Isabelle Barrière (speaker). The compositions include 'La Dame à la Licorne' and 'Cloud Music'. In 'La Dame ...', Anu Komsi's singing, treated with lengthy reverberation and other processing, creates an ethereal texture in which an evocative spoken text is juxtaposed with the singing.
